Professional Experience

Bob is a partner in the firm and chair of its Probate and Trust Administration Practice Group. With more than 30 years of experience in administration of probate estates and trusts, Bob has successfully administered more than 550 probate estates during his career including modest estates as well as multi-million dollar estates with multiple complex probate and tax issues. Unlike many estate planners, he has also specialized in the administration of both probate estates and trusts. This experience has afforded Bob the insight into the pitfalls of over complicated or inefficient estate plans. He is a member of the American Bar Association's Probate and Trust Law Section, the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association's Estate Planning Section and the Estate Planning Council of Cleveland.

Estate Planning

Bob provides counsel to a wide range of business owners, executives, professionals and their spouses in such matters as estate and tax planning, wills, family trusts, probate litigation and estate administration. He has planned estates using a variety of estate planning techniques including credit shelter and marital deduction planning, disclaimer planning, QTIP planning, Qualified Domestic Trusts, irrevocable life insurance trusts, qualified personal residence trusts, and family limited partnerships. He also counsels families regarding guardianships and Medicaid planning.

  • Bob served as a councilman in the City of Berea where he was active for many years. He also served on the Charter Review Committee in Strongsville and is involved in many charitable activities with the Strongsville Rotary Club.
