Anthony J. Viola

Professional Experience

Tony has practiced law with prominent national and Cleveland law firms for over 30 years. He is particularly experienced with business transactions common to privately owned businesses, estate and business succession planning for the entrepreneur owners of those businesses and with business legal issues relating to the businessman. He prides himself upon being a business consultant as well as legal advisor, and to that end has been successful in negotiating sophisticated acquisitions and mergers.

Tony has served on boards of many private companies as well as financial institutions and served as counsel to Western Reserve Savings Bank (which is now part of the Charter One financial institution), as well as counsel to the Northeast Ohio Savings & Loan League. He has served as counsel to many of the major banks in the area, and has often been called upon to bring together business groups for purposes of mergers, sales and acquisitions.

A member of the Cleveland Metropolitan, Ohio and American bar associations, Tony also been actively involved in the International Council of Shopping Centers and has performed sophisticated real estate transactions for a major New York Stock Exchange client based in the northeast Ohio area, as well as other major retailers. A frequent lecturer and speaker, he has addressed issues in estate planning, succession planning, corporate mergers and buyouts, as well as real estate transactions.
