

Professional Experience
Christy is an attorney with the firm’s Tax & Wealth Management Section. She has the highest level of education in her specialty, having earned a Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of Florida’s Levin College of Law in May, 2009.
At Walter & Haverfield, Christy focuses her practice in the area of Federal, State and Local Tax Planning and Controversies. She works on a variety of tax-related matters and advises clients on multi-generational wealth preservation and transfers. Prior to joining the firm, Christy served as a research assistant working on updating both RIA Thomson’s treatise, U.S. International Estate Planning and the 2007 Bank Income Tax Return Manual.
Christy attended John Carroll University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, summa cum laude, in May, 2005. She subsequently attended Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, where she was a recipient of both the Dean’s Scholarship and the Edward Lebit Tax Scholarship. While at Cleveland-Marshall, Christy served as Associate (2006-07) and Research Editor (2007-08) for the Journal of Law and Health. She earned her J.D., magna cum laude, in May, 2008. While at the University of Florida, she was a research assistant to Professor Charlene Luke.
