Professional Experience
Douglas N. Barr is a Partner and member of the Business Litigation Practice Group. For the past 32 years, he has represented clients in courts throughout the country in business litigation, product liability, toxic tort, construction and admiralty matters. Mr. Barr has achieved the highest rating in Martindale-Hubbell.
As examples of a few of his matters:
Doug defended a general contractor of a construction site in Cleveland in a double wrongful death accident. He prevailed on summary judgment in trial court and was affirmed by both the Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of Ohio. He successfully defended machine manufacturer clients in week-long jury trials in federal courts at St. Paul, Minnesota and Long Island, New York. Doug has also tried jury cases in state and federal courts for other manufacturers and vessel owners in Ohio, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Florida.
