

Professional Experience
Heather is an attorney in Walter & Haverfield's Public/Municipal Law, Labor and Employment Law, and Litigation practice groups. As a member of the Public/Municipal Law practice group, she serves as general counsel and special counsel to Ohio political subdivisions and also as counsel to private owners and developers. Heather's public/municipal law practice focuses on real estate and economic development, including municipal economic development agreements, leases, contracts, easements, and tax valuation matters. She also defends political subdivisions in litigation, including lawsuits involving 42 U.S.C. 1983 claims.
As a member of the firm’s Labor and Employment Law practice group, Heather represents public employers in collective bargaining and labor arbitrations as well as private clients in employment contract disputes.
In addition, Heather represents private clients in general litigation, pre-litigation, and transactional matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Heather was in-house counsel and a compliance officer for a large creditors' rights law firm. Heather has defended lawsuits based on the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and other regulations governing debt collection.
Heather received her B.A., cum laude, from Bowling Green State University, and her J.D., cum laude, from Cleveland Marshall College of Law.
