Professional Experience

Jim has practiced law with prominent Cleveland and regional law firms for over 30 years.  Prior to joining Walter & Haverfield, he was a partner with Porter, Wright, Morris & Arthur for 12 years, and served as Partner-In-Charge of its Cleveland office from 1988 to 1990.

Areas Of Emphasis

• Jim has broad experience in business and commercial law including contract negotiation and preparation of sales, construction, employment, distribution and acquisition contracts, trademark licensing and royalty agreements, construction law and related issues and insurance coverage disputes.
  
  
• His practice involves general counseling to various well-established Greater Cleveland closely-held and family-owned companies. In this capacity, Jim works closely with chief executive and operating officers in the resolution of all aspects of business and legal issues.
