One of Cleveland’s top 10 law firms is looking for an experienced IT Support Specialist interested in growing their cybersecurity skills. This position is in our growing support team within our highly customer service-focused Information Technology department. . The primary responsibility of this role is to set up, train, and provide ongoing support to our users and contribute to non-support related IT projects. The secondary responsibility of the role is to work with our Cyber Security Analyst on projects and systems relating to the firm’s cyber security efforts. These IT projects will allow you to get involved in all aspects of IT within a midsized law firm setting. To assist in your success, you will be supported in this role by our team of highly technical and well-experienced IT professionals. Because this role is very visible within the firm, you will have the opportunity to positively impact every department within an organization that understands and appreciates the value of technology. The ideal candidate will have the desire to grow and be a person who loves technology as much as they love helping people.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Respond to and resolve IT Help Desk requests via telephone, email, remote access, and in-person in a professional and timely manner.
  • Escalate unresolved requests to other IT department team members or external resources.
  • Configure and set up user’s hardware, operating systems, and applications.
  • Perform onboarding IT training for new users.
  • Maintain user rights/configurations on various internal and external software platforms.
  • Troubleshoot user’s hardware and software environment.
  • Work with the IT Infrastructure team or firm management on various technology projects.
  • Occasionally provide onsite support to remote locations within the Northeast Ohio local geographic area or provide support outside of regular business hours.
  • Deploy and monitor operating system and application updates.
  • Deploy and update various IT security software and services.
  • Aid in IT security monitoring and reporting.
  • Assist in threat hunting and IT security issue remediation.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Support or help desk experience in a corporate environment. Law firm experience is strongly preferred.
  • Expert level experience in supporting the advanced features of Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and Windows.
  • Basic understanding of network configurations and troubleshooting in a complex corporate network environment.
  • Ability to support mobile devices, including iPhones, iPads, and Android-based systems.
  • Strong hardware and software applications troubleshooting and problem resolution skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with people of all technical levels.
  • Ability to provide excellent internal customer service in a professional manner while maintaining the confidentiality of client information.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds and install equipment under desks.
  • An Associate’s degree is required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Job Details:

  • This is a full-time day shift onsite position at our downtown Cleveland headquarters.
  • Morning, evening, and weekend paid overtime may occasionally be required to fulfill our users’ needs. This overtime may be performed onsite or remotely, depending on the need.
  • Regional travel to our remote offices may be required, with a few of these project trips requiring an overnight stay.
  • The opportunity to work from home is available for 25% of the time.
  • Compensated on-call after-hours support is required one week per month.

Supplemental Pay:

  • Overtime pay with yearly performance bonus.
