Joy is a Real Estate Law Clerk with Walter | Haverfield as well as a recent graduate of the University of Illinois College of Law. Upon reporting of her positive bar examination results, Joy will be an associate at Walter | Haverfield in the Real Estate Group as well as the Business Services Group.

Prior to joining Walter | Haverfield, Joy worked as a summer associate at a talent and sports agency where she assisted several teams in preparing and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements including endorsements, intellectual property agreements and representation agreements. She also helped to analyze data in order to make determinations on market compensation for clients.

  • Created initial drafts of Asset Purchase Agreements for mergers and acquisitions cases, specifically international companies acquiring smaller American businesses.

  • Prepared P-1 visas for clients in the sports and entertainment industry.
  • Assisted in client intake and depositions.
