Lisa has over 15 years of in-depth experience in the areas of law that have immediate impact and benefit to education law clients. These areas of in-depth experience include:  labor negotiations, labor relations, arbitration, grievance processing, mediation, employee discipline, reductions in force, employee termination and appeals, harassment/bullying/hazing complaints and investigations, student issues including student discipline and appeals, student enrollment and transportation and open enrollment, domestic and custody issues involving students, special education, due process, trial and civil litigation, subpoena enforcement, competitive bidding and selection processes, sale/purchase/lease of real property, public records, public audits, Sunshine Law, ethics, booster organizations, Title IX, constitutional issues, and administrative law (including practice before the Ohio Department of Education, Ohio Election Commission, local boards of revision, Ohio Department of Taxation, Ohio Environmental Protection Agency, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, U.S. Department of Labor, and State Employment Relations Board).

Lisa is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, and is a member of the Association’s Labor and Employment Law Section.  Lisa is also a member of the Columbus Bar Association, and sits on the Association’s Admissions Committee.  Lisa is also a member of the Ohio Council of School Board Attorneys through the Ohio School Boards Association.


Lisa is active in volunteering in her community.  She is the past chair of the Ohio State Bar Association’s Education Law Committee.  She is the President and Commissioner for the Upper Arlington Civil Service Commission.  She is an annual volunteer judge for the Ohio High School Mock Trial Competition, and she volunteers regularly for various activities at her children’s school(s).  She also served as volunteer coach for Upper Arlington Lacrosse Association girls recreation league.
